Probably my appliance tool in the kitchen is the crockpot. You can cook soups, entire meals, parts to meals, you name it. The crockpot gets used almost as much as my regular pots and pans. Below are recipes that require a little prep but are worth it when you come home and supper is ready to go.
This meal is a great weekend meal. It only requires 4-5 hours on low in the crockpot but does require a bit of prep time.

I used 2 cups beef broth instead of cream of chicken soup.
I made a few adjustments to this one. First, I used bacon bits and added them once I served the soup. Also I left out the peppers since my kids aren't wild about them. Also, instead of cream of celery I used cheddar cheese soup. We really enjoyed this recipe. See the following link for ingredients and directions:
